I personally have the original Bandai Hyaku Shiki Ver 2.0 in hopes of pairing it to the Zeta 2.0 as I am fond of the UC protagonist suits. I’m looking forward to getting all the models at MG level for UC sometime in the future.

On a very quick inspection, the kit itself molds wise is very well replicated. But Daban still has not been able to get the gold finishing well. The Bandai release has a matte finish kit whereas Daban still is on the glossy side. The gold finish of Daban can be scraped off if you want to retouch or better yet, repaint it.

Daban (L) vs Bandai (R), Bandai though a bit faded in gold here has a matte type of finish and is well bonded to the kit’s plastic. Undergated as well. Which means cutting the parts from the runners will not interfere or damage the gold plating finish which is usually the case for earlier releases of Hyaku Shiki.
Though some parts still not properly undergated for both Daban (L) and Bandai (R). Be careful!

Without further ado, scroll down for the unboxing and initial build done by the folks over at Dachong.
